10. CHILDREN & DEPENDENT ACCOUNTS
Veraia is not designed to be used independently by children or minors.
However, we recognise that parents and legal guardians may wish to use Veraia to record, manage, or reflect on information related to their children or dependants (for example, tracking developmental, health, or wellbeing information from birth).
In these cases:
- The adult creating and managing the account confirms that they are the parent or legal guardian of the child or dependent.
- Any information submitted about a child or dependent is done so solely by the adult account holder and under their full responsibility.
- The child or dependent does not directly access or control the Veraia account.
- The adult account holder gives explicit consent for the child’s data to be processed and stored by Veraia.
- All children’s data is treated as sensitive data and is subject to enhanced protection, access control and limited retention.
Veraia does not knowingly collect data directly from children or allow minors to create accounts.
10A. PARENTAL / GUARDIAN CONSENT AND RESPONSIBILITY
By adding information relating to a child or dependent, the account holder confirms and agrees that:
- They are legally authorised to provide this information
- They consent to Veraia storing, processing and displaying this information
- They accept full legal responsibility for the accuracy and lawful sharing of such data
- They understand that Veraia does not independently verify guardianship status
Veraia may, if required by law or for safety reasons, request additional confirmation of guardianship.
